Caption Caption on front: Houston's $24,600,000 domed air-conditioned stadium, will be ready for the opening of the new 1965 baseball season. The steel network for the translucent plastic dome is now nearing completion (Oct. 15, 1963). There will be 9400 tons of steel in the entire structure and 2900 tons in the roof alone.
