Transcript | Thomas NasT, writing from Morristown, N. J., June 25th, 1897, says: "As far back as I can remember I have been a great consumer of your pencils, first as a boy in school, then as a student in the Academy, next as a draughtsman on wood, and now upon process paper. During all these years I have always found them uniform in quality. They have maintained the same perfect standard of excellence which is indeed a rare distinction. I can assure you that no matter how bad my drawings have been, I never could blame your pencils for their faults." To the same effect the firm possesses testimonials from Meissonier, VlOL- LET-le-Ddc, Kreling, Overbeck, Seitz, Isabey, Wilson and many others; Gustave Dor£ especially recommending the Siberian lead pencils as "the most suitable material for drawing upon wood," and saying that for this class of work he "prefers them to any lead pencil which he has ever used." Over and above these personal testimonials the Commissioners of all the great Industrial Exhibitions of Germany, France, England, Russia and America have officially awarded to the A. W. Faber Lead pencils the highest distinctions. Gold and First-class Prize Medals from all Exhibitions. |
