AREA: Coastal Texas from High Island southward to Port Aransas (Hueces County)
inland 81 miles to Hockley (Harris County) and extending a maximum distance of 205
air miles (from Port Aransas to High Island at the juntion of route 124 and 87 in
WEATHER: Galveston and vicinity: Partly cloudy, strong south winds (up to 20 M.P.H)
no rain. Temperature 64 to 75 degrees.
Houston and vicinity: Same as Galveston except temperature (64 to SO degrees, wind south, average 12 m.p.h. (highest 23
m.p.h. at 4:45 p.m.
Other areas had similar conditions.
