Janell Buekels, Dayton. COVE. REPORT FOR APRIL 1961 A. K. McKay I got 181 species in April:: First half of month I got 153, of which 132 were seen April 12. Except for that one good day the count would have been low. The other years of higher count for first half of April were 155 in 1959, and 170 in 1955. For the last half of the month, the count was lowest in many years, despite the 99 birds on April 3°. In the past eleven Aprils - last half - the highest was 176 in 1950, the lowest 158 in 1956 and 140 in 1961. This was the poorest April in my
