Feb. 10 Friday peb. 13 Visitors' Day at the ONC Little Thicket Sanctuary. Let's hope for better weather this time! Come between 10 and 3:30 to enjoy the Cove and the trails. Bring your lunch and drinking water. For further information call Ed Taylor 665-8809. Audubon field trip to Palmetto State Park, 8:00 a.m., meet at park headquarters. This park is near Luling, Texas, which is about 3 hours west of Houston, just south of IH 10. Call Holly Hobart for carpool coordination, 523-5723 (call Monday 7:30-9:00 pm). Bring lunch and insect repellent. Photography Group regular meeting, 7:30 pm. Bayou Manor Auditorium, 414 Braeswood. Miss Luta Buchanan will provide the program. So. OG regular meeting, 7:30 pm, Fonde Recreation Center, Memorial Dr. at Sabine. Bill Mealy has planned a program on "Answers to Questions About Birding in Mexico". A panel of birders familiar with birding in Mexico will discuss what books are most valuable, travel hints, places to bird, etc. Bill will also have some slides of places and birds in Mexico. After the program, the people who are planning to go on the trip with Bill Feb. 21-29, will meet to finalize arrangements. Audubon field trip to Sheldon Reservoir, 7:30 am, meet at SW corner of reservoir on Fauna Rd. Bring lunch and insect repellent. Directions: IH 10 to Sheldon Road, north to Garret Road, west to Fauna (NW corner of reservoir) then left to parking area. ONC regular meeting, 8:00 pm, Houston Garden Center, 1500 Hermann Drive. The program this month, "America the Beautiful", is presented by Miss Dorothy Sorrel Is. Audubon Wi l'dt'?fg'F:i,l Iog i caI Visit". 8:00 pm, Houston' Music Hall. Film: "Yosemite: An Eco- 3at. "eb. 14 rriday reb. 20 ONC field trip to Varner-Hogg Plantation, in West Columbia. This is coordinated by the Herpetology Group, but all members will enjoy this beautiful and interesting spot. Meet at 9:30 at the plantation, bring lunch and insect repel lent. ONC Outdoor Adventure film, 8:00 pm, Pershing Jr. High Auditorium, 7000 Braes Blvd. Leo and Dorothy Eckman present "Four Seasons In Wisconsin". Feb. 21-29 0G trip to Mexico, led by Bill Mealy. Since bus plans had to be regretfully abandoned, cars will be used, and carpooling promoted to cut down on the length of the caravan.
