Afternoon activities include visit to Coast Guard facility on ship channel; birding the ponds In. Galena Park; possibility of visit to a cargo ship. Flsh-eatlng Nesting Bird Survey: during the May 27-June II period there une 3-4 will be a count of flsh-eatlng birds in the Galveston Bay area In cooperation with the Texas Parks and Wildlife. The area will be flown the last week In May and area birders are needed to make ground truth counts of active rookeries. We hope to make this a general nesting bird survey con-
