Tom Prusa, Manager of Attwater
Prairie Chicken Refuge, needs volunteers
to assist him in these areas of birding:
1 . All birders who visit Attwater are requested to report their bird
sightings, including location for rare
or unusual sightings, to the office so
that they can keep their "Bird Watch"
board and map up to date.
2. Tour leaders for groups
visiting during booming months of February, March and April are needed. Leaders
should be able to answer questions about
the prairie chickens, the refuge and
other wildlife on the refuge.
3. General wildlife census workers are needed to perform a routine bird
count along a route developed by the
refuge at approximately one-week intervals and more frequently, if possible,
We need to give this wonderful
refuge our support in any way we can.
For more information contact Tom Prusa
at (409) 234-3021, 7:30AM-4:00PM weekdays or write to him at P.O. Box 518,
Eagle Lake TX 77434.
