Braeswood Blvd., 7O0 PM. Ted Eubanks, Jr. will give a seminar on shorebirds. Our new chairman's well-known knowledge of shorebirds, coupled with his fine photography skills, will make this the opportunity to learn what details to look for in identifying a sometimes troublesome but always interesting family of birds. Ben Feltner's Peregrine Tours is offering this weekend field seminar for birders to study the wealth of bird- life found on the upper Texas Coast during the peak of fall migration. This is an ideal opportunity for in- depth study of passerines and shorebirds which are not in their distinctive breeding plumages. Experienced field observers will assist you in sharpening your field skills on these sometimes confusing birds. Birders of all levels of experience and expertise can benefit from these seminars. Tho weekend will include two full days at shorebird laden Bolivar Flats, the migrant traps of Galveston and the Bolivar Peninsula, and the coastal marshes of the Anahuac and Galveston areas. Cost is $60 per person which includes tour leader service only. Meals, accomodations, and transportation are not included. However, we will make reservations for participants who wish to stay at the same hotel as the leaders. A deposit of $10 per person is required and nonrefundable.
