Four guests and one new member were presented to the Group and were extended a warm welcome. The guests were also invited to become •.-embers. Motion was made, seconded and carried that the reading of the minutes of the October meeting, which have been published in the SPOONBILL, be dispensed with, there being no corrections or additions to those minutes. The Treasurer's Report for October 1, 1972 to November 30, 1972, was accepted as read. It showed receipts of $94.11, disbursements of $225.93, and a balance of $357.20. Miss Crane announced that Laura Greenbaum would be the new editor of the SPOONBILL, succeeding Maxine Wenger. -<!\!v;' Miss Crane also announced that we had received letters of appreciation for our contributions to Armand's Bayou and to the ONC Sanctuary Building. Harry Brister reported that three groups have already made their surveys of Armand's Bayou. He added that the key to the property may be secured by contacting Friendswood Corporation. A gift to our library from Dirk Hagemeyer was acknowledged. It is "Birds of the Churchill Region, Manitoba," by Jehl and Smith. On behalf of the Nominating Committee, Chairman Sarah Gordon submitted the following for re-election as officers for the Ornithology Group for 1973-74: Chairman Vice Chairman Secretary Treasurer Marilyn Crane Margaret Jones Louise Rogers Melba Drake There being no nominations from the floor, it was properly moved and seconded that the nominations be closed and the proposed slate of officers be elected by acclamation. Motion carried. iYIiss Crane announced that the checklist needed to be revised and she had appointed Noel Pettingell and Ben Feltner to a committee to revise it. Mr. Pettingell commented that it had taken them about l6 hours to update the key to relative frequency and occurrences. The major change in the checklist, he said, would probably be to increase the key to eight different numbers for identification purposes. Drafts of the new check list will be furnished to anyone who requests them, especially those who contribute regularly to the Clearing House. Their comments and those of certain individuals who are out in the field a lot will be invited. He added that the final checklist will be the result of consensus among those who have reviewed the drafts and made suggestions. Mr. Pettingell mentioned the possibility of getting the Chambers of
