Martin's talk is set for Monday, January 4, at the Baylands Community Center, 6400 Bissonett (just west of Hillcroft) at 7 PM. LAST YEAR, A NON-TEXAS TEAM WON THE CLASSIC.' Clifford and the staff from TPWD do a first rate job in runningtheevent. After a year's worth of preparation and a hectic week of competition the Classic staff is refreshingly dedicated and excited on the last day. LAST YEAR, A NON-TEXAS TEAM WON THE CLASSIC! The third annual Great Texas Birding Classic, brought to you by Texas Parks and Wildlife, is just around the birding comer. This Texas birding tournament raises money for habitat along the Great Texas Coastal Birding Trail, increases the awareness of Texas birding, birds and their need for habitat, and promotes nature tourism in Texas. The Classic is for the birds and the birders. Each year the GTBC staff solicits comments and feedback from participants, sponsors and every group with a vested interest in making it better.
