There is a pass for every member or subscriber who intends to bird on Galveston. By all means do not bird in the PARADISE PATCHES (shown on the accompanying map) without the pass. Obtain your permanent pass by dropping a post card to the 0. G, Chairman or Secretary. Your pass will be mailed to you. Through Henry's efforts to find the right man and through the good offices of Mr. Wesley W. Alexander, Trust Officer for the Moody National Bank, and representative of the Galveston Convention and Tourist Bureau, we all share in the good fortune and the accompanying responsibilities that go with birding on private property. You can be instrumental in having other areas made available to the O.G.'s or, in retrospect, having PARADISE PATCHES declared off limits. The following is expeoted of all good birders: 1. Wear your pass and display it proudly. Let everyone know you are an O.G. 2. Never enter any non-PARADISE AREA without prior express permission from an owner or supervisor, 3. Review the Birdwatcher's Ten Commandments which appear on the last pages of your 1961 O.G. ROSTER and govern yourself accordingly. One more thing: Become familiar with the accompanying map. Carry it with you. Stash it in your get-away bag. New maps will be issued if and when the conditions warrant. Good birding! Chairman: Mr. Henry Hoffman Secretary: Miss Katrina Thompson Treasurer: Miss Ella Wolfer Field Trip Chairman: Mrs. Jack N. Co-editors of the Spoonbill: M, & Smith B. Deshayes, 215 Marshall, Houston 6
