in the Spoonbill which was approved by the Group,
Mrs, Bradley suggested that as additional funds for the printing of the checklist were
urgently needed, notice could be included in the Spoonbill.
Mr, Gilman suggested 3000 checklists with no changes except eliminating price,
Anderson also suggested 3000 at price of 15s* or less.
Mr, Gilman nade a motion that 3000 checklists be printed by Helson & Roach who quoted
lowest price, and that the checklist be sold for 15^ each and 25^ when mailed. Seconded
by Dr. Sullivan. Carried. Chairman will handle the matter.
The Chairman announced that the Roster is out of date. Quotes were too high due to budget,
therefore, Misses Gordon and Drake will prepare a new one on a "do it yourself" job which
NEW BUSINESS: Wally Mebane announced the Outdoor Nature Club will hold its first meeting
of the 1970-71 season on Tuesday, September 8, Garden Center, Hermann Park, Ronald Blair
will be the speaker and he will show films on various trips.
The Annual Bird Count will be Saturday, January 2, 1971.
Mr, Gilman announced there will be an additional bus trip this season, same being to
Tyler Rose Festival on October 31 and November 1. Bus fare about $10,, will stay at
Holiday Inns many good eating places available, A program of much interest is planned,
Marilyn Crain introduced the speaker of the evening, Dr, Pat Sullivan, who showed film of
an African safari made in January 1970. She narrated each scene with interesting comments
which made for a delightful first meeting of the Ornithology Group.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.

A FLEDGLING IS BORN!
On June 29th, 1970, a son, Carlos Guion was born to Dr. and Mrs. Steve Williams at 2:30AM
He wasighed 7T lbs. Mama, Papa and Carlos are doing greats in fact, Carlos made his first
birding trip August 9, 1970, an interesting four hour experience for him.
