list before the March SPOONBILL is mailed if your check is not received by that time.
If you pay after that, you will resume receiving the SPOONBILL with the April issue.

mail your check today! Members' dues are $7.00 ($5.00 to ONC and $2.00 to OG) and
non-member subscriptions are $4.00. Make check payable to Ornithology Group and

Saturday 0G field trip to Palmetto State Park, also Seguin area for possible Moun-
Feb. 10 tail Plovers. Meet at headquarters at 8:30 a.m. There is camping at the
park, and motels at nearby Luling and Gonzales, or you can arise early
for an approximate 3-hour drive. Take I — 10 to Luling exit, go south on
Hwy 183 to park entrance.
Fri.-Sat. ONC Visitors' Days at the Ll++le Thicket Nature Sanctuary. Marian Taylor
Feb. 23-24 says if the weather is agreeable, some of the campers may wish to stay
over Saturday night also. If you haven't already done so, try the Sanctuary In winter!

Saturday OG field trip to the At+wa+er Prairie Chicken NWR. Meet at Headquarters
March 3 by 7:00 a.m. Bring binoculars and scopes. Wayne Shlfflett says the new
observation tower makes the pre-dawn arrival unnecessary. To reach the
Refuge, take I — 10 to Sealy, exit south on Hwy 36, turnright on FM 3013,
proceed to well-marked entrance on right of road. Will take about I hour
and fifteen minutes from center of Houston.
