January field trip led by Mr. John A. Kitzmann to "deer lease land and Camwood (Cameron Ir.Wks.Prop) Meet at 8 A.M., Kitzmann Caevie Agency, Cypress, Texas. February 1 (Thursday) Regular 0. G. Meeting will be held at the new DOWNTOWN RECREATION CENTER, 110 Sabine St. Mr. Harvey Patten will lecture on and demonstrate the technique of preserving bird skins. February 14 (Wednesday) Audubon Screen Tour "Land of Early Autumn" by Cleveland P. Grant. Dinner at 6 o'clock in Suzanne's Cafeteria with lecture at 8 o'clock in the Lamar High School Auditorium. February 10 (Saturday) Dr. Hardin Craig will lead the O.G. trip on a loop from Missouri City back to Almeda. Please meet at 1:30 P.M. in the school yard at Missouri City. Since we were plagued with inclement weather on several of our winter trips last year, we are trying to out-fox the weather with this half-day trip. (This way, it can't rain on us alldayj) (See last page for additional comment.) CLEARING HOUSE CORRECTIONS from Arlie K. McKay OCTOBER CLEARING HOUSE: 1. Did not see Yellow-throated Warblers. 2. The (10) 15 Song Sparrows were White-erowned Sparrows. 3. Yellow-crowned Night Herons were seen on October 1. NOVEMBER CLEARING HOUSE: 1. Buffleheads (4) were seen on Nov. 15, not 5. 2. Black-throated Green Warblers (10), not Blaek-throated Blues. 3. Indigo Buntings for Nov. 3 were (10) not (l). |
