Make your reservations at the Buenos Heches Motel on Rt. 59 in George West, or you may pre fer to camp out at Lake Corpus Christi State Park. Mr. Gilman says that the Ferguson Restaurant in George West is a good place to eat. Meet Saturday morning at the Buenos Noches Motel at 8 AM. We expect to see many interesting birds, including Scailed Quail, Blaek-throated Sparrows, and Olive Sparrows. This is also a wonderful area and time of year for herpetologists and botanists! April 6 (Thursday) Regular OG meeting at the Downtown Recreation Center at 7:30 PM. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hoffman will show a film, "Birds of Africa," rented from the National Audubon Society, along with a talk on their own last trip to that'continent. Regular ONC meeting at Garden Center, 1500 Hermann Drive, at 8 PM. A talk on "East Texas" will be given by Russel Hilliard. ' 15,16 (Saturday and Sunday) ONC field trip to the Big Thicket, led by Lance Rosier. See your Nature Club Notes for details. The Annual Spring Roundup (Big Day Run). You may go anywhere you wish within 75 miles of the Harris County Courthouse. Rare and unusual birds must by substantiated by complete description of observation including exact location and :: names of observers.
