The last field trip will be to Huntsville State Park on June 2. Reports were given on the many rare birds in the area and pictures of the Yucatan Vireo were presented by Ted Eubanks. Volunteers are needed for the next year's activities. Specifically, a publisher is needed for The Spoonbill and the librarian job is vacant. Certificates were given to those who contributed their time and effort toward OG activities during the past year. David Matson presented the program on his recent trip to Peru. While preparing a thank you list and certificates, I decided not to provide certificates for the elected officers of the OG. I have since decided that I made an error in judgment. My thanks are extended to Wes Cureton, vice chairman; Linda Walsh, treasurer; and Joe Kennedy, secretary. I shall see that appropriate certificates are prepared and forwarded to these hard working folks.
