(1) May, 1864 Ivory-billed Woodpecker breeding along Brazos River in Fort Bend County. (1) I883 and I896 - Passenger Pigeons (extinct by 1914) recorded at Houston. (2) 1890's - - Carolina Parakeets (extinct by c. 1938) seen in Chambers Co. (3) Jan. 4, 1893 - Whooping Crane collected at Houston.
