Transcript Page 10 i&.j:i Wood Thrush, I am familiar with breeding Wood Thrushes from Wisconsin. The bird was visible for _ minute and was observed at about 40 feet with 7x50 binoculars. -^Randy Korotev LARK BUNTING: Bird was found and observed almost every day for a week before this date by Mr. & Mrs. Arthur Buckels. Details: seen at 25 ft. with 8x40 binoculars for two hours. Color photographs taken by John Tveten. Bird perching in tallow and willow trees along road over little stream. Generally with flock of House Sparrows. Often left to feed in weed field and then returned to trees. Also fed on shoulder of road. Large Sparrow-lilte bird. Larger then House Sparrow. Large buff-colored patch in wing visible while perched and in flight. Outer tail feathers lighter on outer half. Rounded tall with light feather tips. Back light tan with darker streaking. Light face markings in form of streak down and back from bill and light patch behind ear. Head streaked with darter brown, Breast sharply streaked, especially on sides, with what appeared to be a dark central spot. Bill light bluish-gray. Lower mandible lighter.
