Estate, This should be a very■"birdy" trip because of the migration season
and the choice locality.

Regular ,jOG meeting, "A Photographic Study of Some Gulf Coast .Birds" will be
presented by Mr. John Cora, who will comment on observations he has made while
photographing the birds. Mr. Corn, a chemical engineer who has worked fSrtihe
DuPont Company for 19 years, has actively pursued photography as a hobby since
April 7 (Thursday)
1937. His first colored slide of birds was made in 1942. Mr. Corn is "currently trying to get slides of several varieties of Gulf Coast birds at.various
stages of their ifife cycles; i.e. from egg to adult." You won't want to miss
this interesting study- same time, 3ame place—Downtown Recreation Center, at

big day of birding from morning to night. You may go anywhere you wish within
S_ 75 miles of the Harris County Courthouse. Send your list of speoies (numbers of
individuals optional) in A.O.U. order to Hrs. Carl Dodge (Jane.), 5420 Pine St.,
Bellaire, Texas 77101, by the 30th of April. Rare and unusual birds must be
substantiated by complete description of observation including exact.location
and names of observers. Include route covered, hours spent in field, car miles,
foot miles, and names of those in party. -
