The upper tail surface was dark, mottled with white, somewhat whiter at the base. One tail feather was missing. The underside of the wings showed linings that were heavily marked with dark spanwise marks on a light background. The dark marking were noticeable prominent in the carpal areas, although these areas were not solidly dark. No solid dark markings in patagial area. The secondaries showed much lighter markings, largely confined to the base. The throat and upper breast were dark brown with some white mottling.
