Transcript HOME DF TDMDRRDW-TDDAY! T V. L. YARBROUGH he parade house at 5111 Jackwood is a modern beauty that brings the outside inside. Features include a screened-in garden area opening into the living and dining room; a back covered patio off the family room and breakfast area, and a child's play area lighted by white plastic dome skylights. Built by V. L. Yarbrough of the Yarbrough Building Co., the exterior is highlighted by four stained buttresses which form a partial ceiling for the garden area. The exterior is of pink desertone brick with western cedar boards and batting. The interior is distinguished by a living room which has a high window facing the front and 12 foot glass sliding doors opening onto the garden area. The family room has a suspended fireplace and is paneled in birch with cabinets to match. The flooring is cork and one wall is composed of glass sliding doors opening on the back patio. The kitchen has all electric built-ins, including yellow Westinghouse oven and range, dishwasher, and disposer. The bedroom wing is characterized by an oversize hall to be used as a play area for children. It is roofed by a plastic dome skylight, has a cork floor and a convenient drinking fountain. The master bedroom has its own bath with a dressing area, square sitdown tub and shower. The home has a Thermo roof of pink Tennessee marble chip, and is air- conditioned and heated with a General Electric unit. It is furnished by Sembera in modern furnishings. Mr. Yarbrough has lived in Houston for the past 15 years and has been in the home building business for four years. He previously was district manager of U. S. Gypsum Co.
