Transcript THE ART SHOW The tenth World's Fantasy Convention Art Show is currently accepting reservations from interested artists. The Art Show is expected to have approximately 100 4 by 8 foot panels for hanging flat artwork, as well as some 6 by 2xk foot tables for 3-D work. An artist is requested to limit his/her display to 2 panels, tables or combinations thereof. To enter the show, you MUST send in your space reservation form, made out in your legal name, no later than September I5th, 1984. To get this form and more detailed information, please contact Elizabeth Pearse, 218 All Saints Crescent, Oakville, Ontario, L6J 5M9. You can reach her at (416) 844-1634 at almost any time before midnight, but please remember your time zone. Space will be allocated on a first come, first served basis and full payment must accompany all reservations. The fee schedule is given below; all prices are quoted in Canadian dollars: One half panel = $20.00 One panel = $40.00 One half table = $15.00 One table = $30.00 A commission on art sales of no more than 5% will be charged and this may be refunded in full or part if all Art Show expenses are met. In addition to a selection of outstanding artwork by the genre's best artist, this year's show will feature special exhibits devoted to the renowned Golden Age illustrator, Hubert Rogers, and our Artist Guest of Honour, Jeffrey Jones. THE BANQUET The banquet will be held on Sunday Afternoon, at which time the 1984 World Fantasy Awards will be presented. Our toastmaster will be Spider Robinson. The menu is: Westin Salad with Gourmet Dressing Breast of Chicken Parisienne with Mushroom & Light Paprika Sauce Two In-season Vegetables Deep Dish Apple Pie Tea, Coffee, Decaffeinated Coffee or Milk Price is $18 US/$22 Can. per person. Seating is limited and we must know in advance if you are planning to attend. The closing date to purchase tickets for the banquet is September 17th. Please use the convention form at the back of this booklet to order your tickets. The tickets will be given out at the registration desk at the convention. A vegetarian menu is available if necessary. For other special arrangements, such as allergies, etc., please contact Michelle O'Donnell at the convention address. MASQUERADE As has been the case at all previous World Fantasy Conventions, there will be no masquerade or costume ball. Those who feel they must "dress up" (or "dress down") will be asked (politely, of course) to find more suitable attire before returning to the convention area. The same applies to "weaponry" of any sort.
