Transcript FOURTH WORLD FANTASY CONVENTION Information Update THE HOTEL: The Sheraton Hotel is located at Commerce and 8th Streets. When entering Ft. Worth take any exit marked "Downtown," and there should be no problem finding the hotel. There is a clearly visible sign on top of the building. RESERVATIONS: so. If you have not made your hotel reservations yet, please do The mailing address of the hotel is: Sheraton-Fort Worth Hotel P.O. Box 17150 Ft. Worth, Texas 76102 A single room is $23.00 to $32.00, and a double is $30.00 to $39-00. If the lower rate is desired, please specify it. BANQUET TICKETS: Banquet tickets are still available and will be until Saturday, Oct. 14, at noon. We urge everyone to attend the banquet, as that is when the award presentation will be made. Attending the convention and missing the award ceremony is similar to leaving a play without seeing the last act. We will be selling tickets at the registration desk, but it would be helpful to us if they were .purchased prior to the convention. The price is $7«50 and the fare is Texas style barbeque. PROGRAMMING: There will be at least one panel and reading on Friday, with the remainder starting at 11 AM on Saturday. Films will be . shown late on Friday and Saturday nights. DEALERS ROOM: The loading ramp leading to the dealer's room is located on Commerce Street. Check in at the registration desk before beginning to unload. MANUSCRIPTS: Manuscripts will be offered for sale during the art auction. At this time Ramsey Campbell and Andrew Offutt will be offering manuscripts, and we are making this service available to all our guests. ART SHOW: We need to know approximately how much art is coming in for display. If you intend to display, notify us as to the number and size of pieces. If sending art, mail it to Michael Templin/ 1309 B. West Street/ Arlington, Texas/ 76010. Art will be given priority as it is received. GUESTS: Roy Thomas, David Drake, Donald A. Wollheim, Judy-Lynn and Lester del Rey, and Lisa Tuttle have been added to the list of those planning to attend. IMPORTANT! Enclosed in your Progress Report is a registration ticket. If there is any discrepancy, contact Michael Templin immediately. Enclose an SASE with any communication to the convention.
