Transcript 0ltson l^oast This year's banquet, which is being held in the Hyatt Regency Ballroom, features a choice of entrees. The menu is: Esquire Salad Veal Scaloppine or Eggplant Parmesan Regency Ice Cream Pie To ensure that you enjoy the Banquet and Roast with your friends, you will be ushered to your seats. Spirits to accompany the occasion will be available at the cash bar in the ballroom foyer. After eating the sumptuous meal, you will be treated to the Harlan Ellison Roast, an IguanaCon Production. Roast- master Bob Tucker and Ben Bova, Ed Bryant, Vincent Di Fate, D. C. Fontana, David Gerrold, Marta Randall, and Bob Silverberg, among others, will give their best to Harlan. At Harlan's request, any profits will be equally divided in one time donations to NOW and Unearth magazine. For an afternoon of fine dining and unique entertainment, the IguanaCon Banquet and Harlan Ellison Roast is an event not to be missed. Sharon Maples and Gay'Miller BLOOD "DRIV6 The IguanaCon Blood Drive will be held in the Tuscon Room of The Civic Center, from 10: 00 am to 4:00 p.m. Thursday, August 31 and Friday, September 1. Door prizes to be given include correspondence between Poul Anderson and Hal Clement, along with fannish and professional cartoon art. If you wish to give blood before coming to the con, do so: bring your donor card and you'll still be eligible for the door prizes. If not, come and give and hobnob with the guests. It's a chance to do Something Ghood for yourself and someone else -- and maybe win a prize, too. Leslie David, IguanaCon Blood Drive site selection The World Science Fiction C^cven- tion's future site is selected two years in advance by members of the present WorldCon, in this case IguanaCon. The ballots for 1980 site-selection voting have been distributed with IguanaCon's fourth Progress Report and will also be available at the convention, near the registration area in the Hyatt mezzanine. The voting will be kept open until a time agreed upon by the compe committees, subject only to a 10:00 \ final closing time. After the close of loting, the votes will be counted t representative from each bidding com tee, a representative of IguanaCon, ar nonpartisan fan-at-large. At the whir the bidding committees, the results of vote may be made public immedia after the „votes are counted, or the nouncement may be held until the res have been certified" to the Chairmar the Business Meeting. At that time, winning committee may announce w: ever details it may wish to make im diately public. This year, Baltimore and Boston bidding for the 1980 WorldCon. To vote for the site of the li WorldCon, buy a membership in the \[ convention at the Site Selection Ta and mark the ballot in the appropr. place for your choice of site.
