Transcript BUS TRIPS to the Poe House and Edgar Allan Poe's grave and the catacombs. 2 bus trips are planned by the convention. There is no charge. Each trip can accommodate about 47 people. A sign-up list for the bus trips will be open for reservations at 9:00 A.M. on Saturday, November 1st, at the con registration desk (next to Maryland Ballroom). It is important to reserve space, otherwise we may not be able to accommodate you. Please be punctual. Time is critical. This is because of our commitment with the bus company and the travelling distance involved. We cannot hold the bus for late-comers. Please assemble in the hotel lobby area about 15 minutes before the bus is scheduled to leave. Chet Williamson will be in charge of the tours on the bus. If you have any problems or questions along the way please contact Chet. At the Poe House and gravesite and catacombs the tours will be conducted by Jeff Jerome, curator. Saturday, November 1. Tour One: The Poe House and gravesite and catacombs. 6:30 P.M. The bus leaves the Marriott-Hunt Valley Inn. Arrives at Poe House. The tour conducted by Jeff Jerome will then proceed from the House to the Poe grave and catacombs, which are about 5 minutes away from each other. The bus will leave the Poe gravesite to return. The bus returns to Hunt Valley. The Poe grave and catacombs only. The bus leaves the Marriott-Hunt Valley Inn. Arrives directly at the Poe grave and catacombs. The tour will be conducted by Jeff Jerome. Midnight reading at Poe's grave by Fritz Leiber. A wreath will be placed upon Poe's grave to commemorate the Sixth World Fantasy Convention. The bus will leave the Poe gravesite to return. The bus returns to Hunt Valley. At the Poe House the $3 admission charge has been dropped. However, individual donations may be made to The Edgar Allan Poe House and Museum, 305 N. Amity Street, Baltimore, MD 21225. POE DISPLAY Mrs. Lyn Hart of the George Peabody Department of the Enoch Pratt Free Library has arranged a special display of Poe items for the convention. These include holograph manuscript letters; valentines, early volumes of Poe's works, and paintings and illustrations of Poe and his stories. The George Peabody Department, 17 E.
