Their decision to quit the convention business has proven to be very unfortunate in the view of a number of science fiction fans. « * A.E. VAN VOGT: At the a^e of 20 A, E. Van Vost had his first \*r Kir story published in True Story Magazine. Thereafter he wrote many confession stories, some general stories, one western novelette, many radio plays for Canadian stations, and was for some years the Winnipeg representative of a large trade paper publishing house. In 1938 lie sold his first sf story to John Campbell. Van Vogt has had fantasy and sf published in many magazines, -paperbacks and books. Some of his most popular books include "Slan, M 'The World of Null A, " 'The Book of Ptath, " and 'The Siikie.
