Houston, Texas, July nth, 1900, Sealed proposals addressed to Arthur Lipper, City Secretary, City of Houston, Texas, will be received up to IS 0' olook, Noon on Monday July 23rd, 190"), for the construction of a timber trestle bridge over White Oak Bayou, at foot ofi Montgomery Avenue, connecting the First and ! Fifth Wards, as per plans and specifications on file in the City Engineer's office,city Hall. . ^.41L.proposals must be. accompanied by a certified check for #350, on any bank in Houston, made payable to the Mayt of said city, without comditions, same to be forfeited as liquidated damages in case of failure of the successful bidder to enter into contract and bead as required by theCity Council, The successful bidder will be required to furnish a bond in the sum of One thousand dollars, with any responsible individuals or security Company as bondsmen, The successful biider will be required to complete the above mentioned work within sixty ( 60 ) days after the signing of his contract , and approval thereof by the liayor and Board of Public Works of said city and for failure to complete said work within said time limit, will forfeit the sum of ten dollars ($ 10, ) per day, as liquidated da»ages end not as a penalty, for each and very day after the expiration of sail tine limit, The contractor will be governed by all the ordiataces of said city,' regulating or pertaining to public works, especially the LaborOrdinancem and nasi agree to proper deductions .from contract price for violations thereof, I Austin, ililier, City Engineer, S,H, Brashear, ilayor,
