Transcript Gamma Sigma Sigma THEIR BASIS IS SERVICE TO HUMANITY Gamma Sigma Sigma, based on the high ideals of service, holds as its purpose "to assemble college and university women in the spirit of service to humanity." The three essential principles are service, friendship, and equality. Founded in 1947 as Alpha Delta Omega, the UH chapter in 1952 became Alpha chapter of Gamma Sigma Sigma. Service projects include working student government election polls and various other campus projects. Philanthropies include working with a local orphanage and collecting food for needy families at Thanksgiving and Christmas. Social events include a Mother-Daughter Luncheon and an Awards Banquet. GAMMA SIG OFFICERS are Rochelle Mellon, seated, historian; Bobbie Stein, president; Marilyn Holub, treasurer; and Judy Hempel, parliamentarian. MEMBERS Susie Beckhold, Cindy Orlanda, Carolyn Langford, Cathy Lou and Lyn Preston. 234
