Transcript Optometry THEY FULFILL VISUAL NEEDS University of Houston Optometric Association was formed to promote scholarship among its members and to instill a desire to fulfill the visual needs of the American public. Speakers within the profession and from related fields provide the membership with helpful information. This, together with social activities of various types, endeavor to promote a well- rounded optometric education. Activities include a formal dance in the fall, a spring picnic, and participation in intramurals. Philanthropies include projects for the Foundation for Education, Research, and Vision and support of the Damas Club. Service projects include visual surveys of the Houston Public School System and .sponsorship of delegates to national and state conventions.
