Photo hy Travis Howell Campus Crusade for Christ was created to reach every college student with the gospel. Campus Crusade for Christs' goal is to reach every college student at UH said member of Campus Crusade for Crist Broadie Cooper. "What we try to set up is a transformation community," Cooper said. "This goal involves raising a core group of students who affects the campus an the community." He said that the members of this organization are able to present the gospel and give people an answer to life. Campus Crusade for Christ has weekly meetings, men and women bible studies, and the members are always willing to speak with the people, Cooper said. "Almost every campus in Houston has a Crusade group," Cooper said. "We have intense training for all the crusade groups in Houston and anyone can come." Campus Crusade for Christ also organizes summer mission trips to other states and different countries. Short Term International is a year long internship overseas. "We will be going for a year to East Asia," Cooper said. "It is a great trainnig for people who wish to persue a career in ministry." Cooper will be attending a university to learn a different language. "We will be doing the same thing we are trying to do here on campus," Cooper said. "Our goal is to build a core group of nationals that will replace us." He said that the goal of the organization is to train leaders and reach others with the gospel. "Part of our mission with Crusades is to reach every student," Cooper said. "Christ is the road on the map and he is the destination." Cooper said that with the help of the Campus Crusade for Christ, he can talk openly with strangers about accepting God. "Thru Crusade, I am learning how to speak to a large group of people," he said.
