Transcript 24 • STUDEnT LiFE <=&if & When the Sun Goes Away, the Students Come Out and Play •~->|t seems that this 7^/year students are C/ loving the night life. Everything from raves to watching television occupies this year's students. While many students claim clubs as the best form of night life, University of Houston freshman, Michael Stillwagon says that raves are the best way to pass the time. Many students seem to agree with Stillwagon, especially after a rave was held in the Hofheinz Pavilion. Aside from raves and clubs, other UH students have a different idea of what it means to be a night owl. "I like to go watch drunk people walk out of bars," said David Batagower, a biology freshman. Although this sounds like fun, junior hotel and restaurant management major Diondria Miller disagrees and believes that watching television is Ferrell and Three Kings with George Clooney and Mark Wahlberg. There are also parties at the Moody Towers, bowling at the University Center or the best way to hang out studying at the M.D. at night. "This year's TV programs are based on our lives, so they are more interesting than in the past years," Miller said. There are also a number of activities on campus after dark. The Cullen Center showed movies before they were released nationwide, such as Superstar will Molly Shannon and Will Anderson Library. "I got the UC to shoot pool and watch movie premiers with my friends," archtecture freshman Shawn McLoughlin said. What about UH couples who want something to do after dark? Get your mind out of the gutter. There's the Moores Opera House that has various musical performances throughout the school year. There is always something to do on campus at night, so the UH night owls always have something to do. • by Justin Taillon and Linda Canales times'of i 9W times' of need Gathering together to others often brings out at night.
