Transcript ITS OliLY the BEGinniriG . . . ach day in the life of a student marks the chance for a new beginning. The chance to correct past mistakes, the chance to relive old ones and the opportunity to avoid them all together. It is this chance for a new beginning that gave students at UH boundless opportunities to make new friends, explore career options and prepare for life outside of school. Freshmen entering UH from high school had the greatest opportunity for making friends. As they said goodbye to their high school friends, they made new ones attending their core classes, at lunch at the Satellite or at a Delta Sigma Theta party. Seniors, on the other hand, had to say goodbye to their UH friends and prepare to make new ones once they graduated. Through internships, campus jobs and community involvement, seniors established new relationships and gained valuable experience they carried with them as they jumped headfirst into their new potential careers. Students not only prepared for their careers outside of UH, they also took advantage of the boundless opportunities each day presented. Students showed their Cougar spirit at Homecoming, celebrated the legend of the cowboy at Frontier Fiesta and supported the student government in the Students' Association election in the Spring. With the good days however, came the bad. Failing grades, broken hearts, and parking problems all made for bad days in the eyes of many students. However in the spirit of a new millennium students found it helpful to keep life's motto in mind: "Tomorrow is another day."
