At the University of Houston, the Interfraternity Council was created to do just that for the UH fraternities. It is the IFCs job to bring the fraternities together to promote values and ideals, as well as handle any disputes that may arise in or between fraternities under its council. IFC also makes up rules and punishments for the fraternities to follow. The IFC actually works under the National Fraternity Council and works as a liaison between the fraternities and the University, as well as the surrounding Houston community. FOOD, FUN AND FRATERNITIES Sigma Nu, a member of IFC, held a bar-b-g in September with special guest coach Dana Dimel of the Cougar football team. Sigma Nu and Sigma Chi compete Greek Feud in November. Eleven fraternities at the University of Houston make up the Interfraternity Council, which consist of Alpha Epsilon Pi, Beta Theta Pi, Delta Upsilon, Lambda Phi Epsilon, Pi Kappa Theta, Pi Kappa Alpha, Sigma Alpha Mu, Sigma Nu, Sigma Phi Epsilon, Sigma Chi and Tau Kappa Epsilon. To make sure that all fraternities are able to voice their opinions and have representation in the council, IFC has made sure that each fraternity is represented by one officer and one delegate from each frater- nity. It is through IFC that UH fraternities are given the opportunity to make even more friendships, socialize with other fraternities and make the brotherhood bong at UH even stronger. -LINDA CANALES Nora Segura against each other at the Phi Mu ^M Kusum Desai Greek Life
