Transcript phi kappa phi In 1946 students and faculty organized the Senior Scholarship Society. This Society was instrumental in the establishment of the University of Houston Chapter of Phi Kappa Phi, national honor society, in November, 1949. The prime object of the Society is to emphasize scholarship and character in the thought of college students and to stimulate mental achievement by recognition through election to membership.
