Transcript Late fall and finals yield special events Semester wrap-uj: State Senator Lindon Williams was on hand for UH's first salute to veterans killed in action. Unfortunately, the ceremony, held at Cullen Family Plaza on Veteran's Day, was shortened due to usual lack of student interest. While noon-time inhabitants of the UC Arbor stuffed themselves with exotic dishes at November 19's Food Fair, other students provided entertainment — with a belly dancing instructor capturing the attention of all. UHers were the only South Texans frolicking in snow this Christmas as that Houston rarity blanketed Lynn Eusan Park on December 12. Although the pre-fabricated snow disappeared after only 45 minutes, a final beer bust delighted students who then plunged into finals, the conclusion of which brought on the long-awaited Christmas recess. Above Jennifer Kuentz (So-Mus) blows "Taps" at the conclusion of the short ceremony honoring veterans. RightSenator Williams and Dr. Allen Commander, vice-president of UH public affairs, place a wreath in Cullen Plaza. Belly dancer Connie Gaffin (Jr-His) displays her art. 4 2 Semeste r Wrap- Up
