Transcript LEONARD RAUCH BOARD OF REGENTS Appointed by Gov. Preston Smith, Leonard Rauch is one of the newest regents. He will serve a six-year term. Under sharp questioning by a Texas Senate Nominations Committee, Leonard Rauch denied allegations that the regents follow Pres. Hoffman's agenda without question. The three newest regents who appeared before the committee said that in the past such complaints might have been justified but that the situation is changing. "We have fought him (Pres. Hoffman) on a number of times. We are not a rubber stamp board." As an alumni, Rauch holds the title of UH Golden Cougar, an honor directly related to his interest in sports and generous contributions to the athletic department. Rauch is secretary-treasurer of the Standard Southern Corporation, a Houston-based company. C. T. PARKER BOARD OF REGENTS (Not Shown) C. T. Parker was unavailable at this time.
