Transcript From Webster's New Collegiate Dictionary: technology (n) The application of science, especially in industry or commerce. According to the 1993-1995 course curriculum catalog: The goal of the College of Technology is to promote a broader understanding of technology amoung the general population and, in particular, amoung the Houston work force. The college has attained national and international recognition for its accomplishments. Because technology is a specialized undertaking, the college offers programs in many areas. They fall into four categories: engineering technology, human development and consumer sciences, industrial technology and technical education.
