Transcript The 1998 Houstonian yearbook at the University of Houston, volume 64, was printed by Taylor Publishing Company, Dallas, Texas, and produced with the Taylor PageSetter desktop publishing program. Randy Elliott was the Taylor representative for the Houstonian. The cover is designed by Lana Khawaja, and is mounted on 120 point binders. The base material is black matte Silver 915, PMS 185 and Ivory 892 is used in the logo. The front and back endsheets are gray perch matte. All 304 pages are printed on 100# matte paper. The body copy is in Joanna MT, 12 pt. Captions are in GillSans Condensed, 13 pt. Headlines are in GillSans UltraBold, 72 pt. The logo is in GillSana UltraBold, 14 pt. The pull quotes are in GillSans Condensed, shaded 50% and 24 pt. The sports pages contain body copy in Times, 12 pt. The pull quotes are in GillSans UltraBold, 14 pt. This book was produced in QuarkXPress 3.31. Aldus Freehand 5.0 and Adobe Photoshop 2.51 were also used in the production. The 1997 Houstonian was produced without faculty supervision. It had a press run of 800 copies that sold at $30 per copy.
