Transcript F•O•O•D W•H•A•T T•O E•A•T, what to eat? Everyone's a critic! University of Houston students either love it or leave it when it comes to eating on campus. Aramark's campus dining services provide everything from fast food take-out to dine-in, all-you-can eat restaurants in an attempt to appeal to each student's tastebuds. Favorite hot spots for those who dine on campus include the University Center American Cafe and the UC Satellite. The American Cafe's selections include breakfast and a lunch menu of hamburgers, sandwiches, a salad bar and a la carte dining. The UC Satellite offers everything from the quick-fix Mexican meals of Taco Bell to the Italian cuisine of Allegro Pasta. T-Shari Brown, a junior communication major, said she prefers eating at the American Cafe. "I get tired of eating the same thing at the Satellite," Brown said. "The UC (American Cafe) has a wider selection. (But the UC) is just too far to walk from my classes." However, some students feel campus dining services need improvement. For example, vegetarian menus are in high demand and these students feel they do not have enough options available. "I think (Aramark) should cater more to people who do not eat meat," said Jessica Molina, a sophomore history major and vegetarian. "I would like more to choose from than just veggie burgers," she added. Coog's Cafe, a sportsbar and grill, is a favorite among sports lovers and athletes. Since it has a pub atmosphere, many students gather there to watch televised sports. Coog's menu includes hamburgers, hot dogs and pizza. Ob Cafe, in Oberholtzer Hall, and Horizons, in Moody Towers, cafeteria are frequented by students who live on campus. They offer similar menus that include full course meals, but Ob offers all-you-can eat for those wishing to fill their bills. Nakia Alexander, a sophomore communication major, said she enjoys Horizons cafeteria. "I think they charge a bit too much for food, but they are heading down the right track (as far as selection)," Alexander said. "I would like more to choose from than just veggie burgers," Jessica Molina December
