Transcript The 1999 Houstonian was created by a student staff at the University of Houston and printed by Taylor Publishing Company in Dallas, Texas. The publishing representative was Randy Elliott. Individual student portraits were taken ny Thornton Studios. The book was sold for $35. 800 copies were printed and delivered during the first week of the Fall 1999 semester. Printing - This book was printed on 80-pound matte paper using black, spot and four-color process. Cover - The cover was designed bv Managing Editor Demi Jessett using Black Matte and Red Lexotone Materials and a silver 915 application. Typography - All body copy is in 11 point Joanna with 15 point leading. All captions are in 7 point Berthold Imago Extra Bold. Folios are in 18 and 11 point Joanna. Headline fonts vary by section. Production - The 1999 Houstonian was produced using four Power Macintosh G3 computers with Quark 4.04 and Photoshop 5. This was the first fully digital yearbook produced at UH. The Houstonian is the official yearbook of the University of Houston. Editorial content does not necessarily reflect the views of the University.
