Transcript FRONTIER FIESTA From its early days, Frontier Fiesta has drawn large crowds of people, of all ages, and of every social background. Originating in 1940 to enhance students' school spirit, the Fiesta was thriving again. With stages for concerts, variety shows, saloons, and an abundance of booths for cooking teams, comprised of both Cougars and alumni, Fiesta City stayed busy from the beginning of each day to the end-despite rain. Located across from the University on Calhoun, the construction of Fiesta City began weeks prior to the annual event. The Frontier Fiesta Association and other organizations put months of stringent preparation and planning into each year's Frontier Fiesta. Losing his grip from the mechanical bull provided as an attraction, the rider prepares himself for a rough landing. People of all ages and sizes tested their skill on the ride. • CAMPUS LIFE A youngster, many on field trips from local HISD elementary schools, take a break from Little Wrangler Day.
