Transcript LE BAYOU Founded in 1936, the French quarterly literary review, Le Bayou, has gained worldwide renown. Le Bayou won the 1946 annual "Prix de la Langue Francaise" awarded by the French Academy. All texts are original and include poems, short stories, articles on French literature, essays, book reviews, and translations. A staff of 36 associate editors includes leading writers and critics of France, Belgium, Indo-China, Mauritius Island, Italy, Africa, United States, Canada, and Switzerland.
