Transcript SALLY ADAMS JAN BOLTON JANET CASKEY JOYCE EYTH AUDREY JONES PAT GALLAGHER CAROLINE GRAMMON RITA LA GROVE PEGGY JACKMAN ALPHA CHAPTER Alpha Chapter of Alpha Gamma Chi, the only women's national service sorority on the University campus, was chartered in June, 1949. Formerly known as Alpha Delta Omega, the sorority members met in convention with representatives from Alpha Epsilon Omega of Los Angeles College at Albuquerque, N. M., last summer to establish a national service sorority for college and university women. Three members of the University chapter serve as officers on the national board. They are Sue Sherrill, national vice-president; and Katherine Wiggins, and Sandi Dierlam, both national members-at-large. The purpose of the sorority is to assemble college women in the spirit of service and to promote fellowship and scholarship. During the year, the activities of the group have included the maintainence of the permanent record file of student activities, making game pennants for athletic events, serving on election polls, hostess duty at Freshmen Orientation and the Hi-Y, Tri-Y convention held on the campus, ushering for the August graduation exercises, and participating in the Homecoming and Frontier Fiesta parades. Alpha Gamma Chi joined with the Society of Engineers to present the Pair-O-Dice show in Frontier Fiesta. 212 AGC members serve on election polls.
