Transcript LIBRARY Many a term paper first saw the light of day in the University Library. Each week, the staff, under the direction of Mrs. Ruth Wikoff, helps students with reference material for projects. After years of crowded facilities, the library- is looking forward to the completion of the M.D. Anderson Memorial Library next vear. MEDICAL OFFICE Sore throats swept the campus early this spring but the University Medical office sprang into action with throat swabs, prescriptions, and good advice to cure ailing students and faculty members almost immediately. This was just another example of the constant vigilance which is kept on the standard of health at UH. Injured athletes also receive treatment from the office which is directed by Dr. Allan Collette. PLACEMENT OFFICE "Brother, can you spare a dime?" The legend of the poverty-stricken student should have no place at UH. With the help of the Placement office, directed by Miss L. L. Russell, students can get part or full-time employment and, upon graduation, assistance in entering the occupation of their choice. Prospective employers also find the Placement office helpful as a ready market for finding employees suiting all capabilities.
