Transcript BUSINESS OFFICE Keeping University books straight, Business Manager C. F. McElhinney and Auditor C. E. Cole get little publicity for their work. University payrolls, tuition of students, and bills, small and large, must be kept in order. Realizing the scope of the campus, one can understand the heavy responsibility on these men's shoulders. CO-OP OFFICE Combining classroom instruction with on-the- job training, the cooperative program gives students a chance to apply the theories of the class room in actual practice, financial assistance and training to get along with fellow workers. The University is in a unique position to utilize the advantages of a cooperative program in a city the size of Houston. GUIDANCE OFFICE With the War's end, thousands of veterans streamed back to colleges throughout the country. Caught unprepared, the University appointed R. 0. Jonas to direct veterans' affairs. Now, after five years, the Guidance office not only counsels veterans but also non-veterans. Students who remember the long waiting lines of other years can stop to marvel at the ease and ability with which the Guidance office handles a steady program of counseling with efficiency.
