SULLIVAN Bailiff The Cullen Senate of the Delta Theta Phi Law Fraternity was founded in the spring of 1954 and now has over 30 active members. Delta Theta Phi has a membership of over 27,000 throughout the world and active alumni Senates in the larger cities. The Houston Alumni Senate has over 150 members. "The object of this organization is to unite fraternally congenial students of the law, to lead them and their fellow students to high scholarship and legal learning, to surround them with an environment such that the traditions of the law and of the profession may descend upon them, to promote justice, to inspire respect for the noblest qualities of manhood and to advance the interests of every school of law with which this Fraternity shall be associated." Frequent dances, parties, picnics, and other functions such as the above party given for the Cullen Senate and Houston Alumni Senate by His Honor, William P. Hamblen, Jr., Chief Justice, Court of Civil Appeals, are a part of the activities of the Cullen Senate. PHILIP L. REARDON Dean 232
