Transcript EILLY THE KID 83 Years Ago... 1865 . . . when F. W. Heitmann Company was established, Houston and the vast industrial area that surrounds it, was a young city of less than 10,000. Yet, even in those days, we supplied the growing young state with Iron and Steel Products we imported from Europe. Especially have we rendered a great service to the oil industry, for we were the first firm to have a big stock of Pipe when the famous Spindletop oil well came into production. On down the years we have served the ever increasing factories, lumber mills, hardware dealers and other business institutions with Industrial and Mill Supplies, Building Hardware, Roofing, Pipe and Fittings, Tools, etc., that the unhampered ingenuity of a free enterprise and a prosperous, happy people have needed in order to build this great city and the vast domain that surrounds it. We gratefully express our appreciation for the friends we have made and held and for the privilege of living, and working and being a part of the great nation that is America.
