Transcript Red Masque Players OFFICERS President KATHRYN SAUNDERS Vice-President BETTY JANE BELL Second Vice-President DONALD MARSH Secretary CHRISTINE WILSON Faculty Sponsors fL STANDLEE MITCHELL taculty Sponsors jLELA BLqUNT The Red Masque Players, dramatic organization at the University of Houston, opened its 42-43 season with a repeat performance of Thornton Wilders' stage and screen hit, "Our Town. On December 19 at the Music Hall, the Cougar and the Red Masque Players jointly presented Varsity Varieties of 1943, with the Players presenting the melodrama, "Pure As The Driven Snow," or "The Working Girl's Secret." The National Collegiate Dramatic Society presented Skylark as its annual offering, making the third production of the year for the dramatics department. Four work-shop plays were directed by the drama majors. Following a tradition, there was a get-together after the last performance of each play with the annual all-club party held late in March. Besides sponsoring dramatics at the University, the club has entertained servicemen at neighboring camps such as Ellington Field with dramatic presentations.
