Transcript Thank You, Seniors of THE UNIVERSITY OF HOUSTON for the privilege of manufacturing your DIPLOMAS RINGS, AND INVITATIONS LINDSEY BLAYNEY, JR. representing Star Engraving Company COLLEGIATE CALENDAR—concluded fell asleep. Dot Golden worked tirelessly on the seniors and almost succeeded in selling an annual. Lois Fuller was a swell salesman (whenever the editor was watching). Margaret Ames worked hard (to get out of work). Sally Powers was a member of the staff, so they tell us. We never saw her. As chief alibier for bill collectors, Miriam Smith was superb. Al Aron rushed into many a store to sell ads. I still can't figure out how he always landed in some sweet lady's lap when kicked out. Lois Ehlers and Betty Martin when asked to prepare a list of the activities of Freshman boys handed in something like this: "Joe Doe—sits in parked cars—O.K.; Bill Smith—doesn't sit in parked cars—no sale; etc." Bill Haddock, ace cameraman, snapped pictures for five months before someone told him that his camera was empty. Prof. Holt almost made English students out of the staff, and Carter made the staff. April 30—May Fight and Reception. Next day (sore feet and bills). May 15—Cougar Collegians sponsor foot warming. May 31—Seniors hear sermon. June 4—Seniors get sheepskins—next day—garbage cans get sheepskins. June 6—School over—thank goodness (except for seniors who have to go to summer school to complete work).
