Transcript COLLEGIATE CALENDAR.—continued February 2.2.—Sophs give second brawl. Forty attend, ten of whom crashed it. Of the balance z6 had complimentary tickets. February z6—Deadline for annual pictures extended to February 2.8. Girls had chance to get even at Cougar Collegians vice-versa. Next day zoo boys absent (sore feet). February 2.8—Time extended on annual pictures. Ann Owen elected May Queen (by Pat Foley). March 6—Elizabeth Gready elected "Miss Fashionette." Profs shown up in Faculty Burlesque. Shamblin stars in "oui-oui" part. March 7—Deadline for "Houstonian" pictures. March 13—Pat's light o' love chooses him king of May Fite. He refuses to wear knee breeches, but agrees not to stand pigeon-toed. (But he did.) March 15—Day Schoolites freeze at Galveston. March 2.7—2.00 votes cast in Omnibus Ballot. (Al Gardner personally put in 199.) April 1—Houstonians get fixed by boys—sponsor vice-versa. Plenty of girls but no boys. (Once bitten —twice shy.) April 5—Deadline for Annual pictures. April 6—Red Masque Players host to Texas Intercollegiate One-Act Play Tournament. Baylor played "L"—(Mary Hardin Baylor played "L" with one of our profs.) April 17—Deadline for Annual pictures set for June 6. April Z4—Juniors give prom at Beachmont. Highlight and Headache of class dances. Roy Bain went a stag, and left a stagger. April 17—Annual goes to press after hectic experiences. Julian and Talley got in an argument in February and were still at it when the staff showed them the completed annual done without help from either. Then they went claiming credit for the work done by the staff. Wilbur Smith, business manager, was out to-all callers when the bills started pouring in. Dot Cely, assistant business manager, had the best alibis for missing meetings. Considering all circumstances the rest of the staff was as bad as could be expected. Algerine Allen worked into the wee small hours of many nights. She often went home as late as 8:30 p.m. Jerry Bentley was another night owl.
